EXTRAORDINARY POSSIBILITY --
Shifting Perspective & Living The Dream
Mom and I spent 10 days in the Rockies last Summer.  On one of our trips over Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park we met a group a cyclists, two+ weeks into their 6 week, coast to coast ride.  This tough peddle to 12,000 feet was, for many, literally and emotionally the high point of their trip.  This particular young woman (hard copy has a photo) in her mid twenties was about the tenthperson in the group to traverse the pass.  As I watched her face, seeing her eyes as she fully realized how monumental this moment was in her personal journey, I was reminded once again that absolutely anything is possible when we can see it and feel it with our whole being.  When what we envision comes from our authentic, centered place, it has unlimited potential for us as individuals, and more importantly, for all of humanity.

Reaching for greater and greater heights in our own lives allows us to begin to see that the concept of sustainability in our world isn't such a far-fetched dream.  As members of the human family, the accomplishments of one can & must be celebrated by all.  I was as proud to take her picture as I have been of my own feats of possibility.  I can remember her saying that she had had her doubts, her fears showed up before as well as during the ride, and yet she knew, deep down, that she had, somewhere inside of her, whatever it would take to accomplish this.  So she chose to take the leap!  She also shared the importance of her team -- they had been there for her as she embraced the toughest challenges in her mind and her body.  Wow.  What a lesson.  As TC says, when you're truly ready, our "team" shows up!!!

As I step more and more into the unknown possibility of tomorrow's promise, I recall the courage of one young woman, one pedal at a time, following her dream!
